Her name is Rose

She is a wrinkled little lady who at the age of 87 years old was first asked why at her age she enrolled in a university.

Jokingly she said, “I’m here to meet a rich husband, get married, and have a couple of kids…”

Curiously, her classmate insisted a serious reply this time.

“I always dreamed of having a college education and now I am getting one”.  This was her reply.

Over the course of the year, Rose became a campus icon and she easily made friends whenever she went.

At the end of the summer, she was invited to speak at a football banquet.

She said, “the elderly usually don’t have regrets for what we did, but rather for things we did not do.”

Anybody can grow older.  That doesn’t take any talent or ability. The idea is to grow up by always finding opportunity to change and have no regrets.

Growing old is mandatory and growing up is optional.

So I’m getting a pumpkin and carve a big smile for you. I hope you’ll agree with me that it is one of the secrets of staying young..right?

“Just remember in the winter far beneath the bitter snows
lies the seed that with the sun’s love
in the spring becomes the rose.”

Happy smiling day! 🙂
